One of the two magical words, thanks fits the better part of my personality. It’s a casual word that dispenses with formality and conveys a sense of humility. In the modern world of communications, it has replaced sincerely as a closing salutation. It’s a quick means of agreement or acknowledgement in an e-mail reply. End of conversation.
At this time of year, we are asked to give thanks. To be sincere, to slow down, to be present. From the mundane to the sublime, embracing an attitude of gratitude. To engage in conversation.
